Artist Statement

Watercolor is exciting to me because of the unexpected .

Even with acrylics, the first step is chaos. My style is semi-realistic to abstract. Forty-two inch square watercolors or 4 x 5 ft. canvass acrylics are my specialty.
Wall murals are delightful to paint, also.Art teachers have always said, "Paint what you know." Life around me is where I find my inspiration. The beauty of nature, the perils of wildlife, the extinction of birds, the activities of people, the awesomeness of God's world, these are present in my art.
